Follow the Playbill link below to watch Carrie Hope Fletcher perform the absolutely gorgeous, “Far Too Late” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s upcoming musical Cinderella. As reported by Playbill:

Get a taste of Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Zippel, and Emerald Fennell’s upcoming Cinderella musical in the new video above, with title star Carrie Hope Fletcher singing “Far Too Late.” Lloyd Webber accompanies her on the piano at Her Majesty’s Theatre (home of The Phantom of the Opera) in London’s West End.

Cinderella was initially slated to debut this fall, but was pushed back to spring 2021 due to the coronavirus. 

Joining Fletcher (Heathers, Les Misérables) on stage will be Olivier nominee Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Murder Ballad) as the Stepmother. Laurence Connor (Miss Saigon) will direct.

Cinderella features an updated story and book by Fennell (Killing Eve, Promising Young Woman) with lyrics by Zippel (City of Angels). Also attached to the project is choreographer JoAnn Hunter (Disaster!, School of Rock). 

Additional members of the cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

16 UCF Knights Land Spots in NFL

Sixteen UCF Knights will be playing in the National Football League (NFL) this season! Most surprising is comeback kid Bruce Miller, who will join the Jacksonville Jaguars after a somewhat tumultuous background since he first went pro with the 49ers. He’s been outside of the NFL for the last 4 seasons, Other Knights in the NFL this season include Michael Colubiale (Jags), Cornerback Rashard Causey (Dolphins), Running back Latavius Murray and receiver Tre’Quan Smith (Saints), Cornerback Shaquill Griffin (Seahawks), Tight end Jordan Akins (Texans), Receiver Gabriel Davis (Bills), Defensive tackle Trysten Hill (Cowboys), Cornerback A.J. Bouye (Broncos), Cornerback Mike Hughes (Vikings), Offensive lineman Jordan McCray (Falcons), Receiver Breshad Perriman (Jets), long snapper Charley Hughlett (Cleveland), kicker Matt Prater (Detroit) and kicker Matthew Wright (Pittsburgh). Dr. Blackwell’s Work to be Published in the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners

Dr. Blackwell’s original article, “Reducing Sexually-Associated Transmission of COVID-19 in Men Who Have Sex with Men” has been accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. This publication is more than likely the first peer-reviewed, scholarly publication on the subject and will appear in the profession’s premiere journal both on-line and in-print in the next few months.

Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande Make it, “Rain on Me”

Lady GaGa released her second single from her forthcoming album, Chromatica, on Friday. ‘Rain on Me” is a duet with pop superstar Ariana Grande. The video features fun back-and-forth choreographed dance sequences between the two, who are surrounded by an army of synchronized dancers. Check out the official music video for the song below. Chromatica releases nationwide on May 29th.

Dr. Blackwell’s Work to be Published in Public Health Nursing

Dr. Blackwell’s original article, “Use of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Persons: Implications for Public Health Nursing” has been accepted for publication in the journal Public Health Nursing, the profession’s premiere journal in public health. Co-authored by Dr. Humberto Lopez-Castillo, an Assistant Professor of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions and Sciences at the University of Central Florida, the article includes an exhaustive overview of the literature on the topic and concludes with future clinical and research directives for nurses and other public health providers on the subject. The issue and volume of the publication are forthcoming.
